What a wonderful group of people!

What a wonderful group of people! God bless you for finding homes for all those sweet animals that would otherwise be put down. We heard about an event and adopted a precious little terrier. We are in love with her. She will be a great companion to our son who needed something to take care of besides himself. Thanks Lost Paws!

I Highly Recommend Lost Paws if you’re looking for a pet

We adopted our new “Forever Family” member on Saturday, February 10. The staff made up of volunteers are obvious pet lovers themselves. They are knowledgeable of each animal and obviously care for them deeply. It’s a wonderful organization that gives lost or given up animals a new chance at life. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a pet. We fell in love with our Mini right away!

It was a Wonderful Experience

Both of our little girls have come from Lost Paws Rescue of Texas and all in all, it was a wonderful experience. You can tell the volunteers really love the animals and desire to find them a great home. It is also clear that this rescue group takes in some of the most at-risk animals saving them from very poor circumstances. They are easy to work with and know that your “adoption fee” is really a donation to all that they do for these animals. I highly recommend saving a pet from this group!

Lost Paws is great!

Lost Paws is great! I rescued a cute, little black cat to join our family. I named him Bisel which is Yiddish for little – so cute! The volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable and the cats are healthy and well taken care of. Thanks Lost Paws!

The volunteers at Lost Paws are very committed to finding compatible homes for each dog

I adopted my adorable 2 1/2 year old Maltese from Lost Paws of Texas. I named him Kodie and he is a wonderful companion to my older Maltese, Katrina. He has added so much to our lives. I believe the volunteers at Lost Paws are very committed to good animal care, and finding compatible homes for each dog. I couldn’t be happier with my Kodie boy!!

We Cannot Say Enough Good About Their Organization

“We have personally adopted five cats from Lost Paws and we cannot say enough good about their organization.  Each cat we have rescued has been loving, social and a welcomed addition to the family.  We will definitely be part of the Lost Paws ‘family’ for the rest of our lives!”

Lost Paws Rescue of Texas – History

Lost Paws Rescue of Texas is an all volunteer 501(c)3 charity whose sole mission is to rescue abandoned dogs and cats in order to give them a second chance for a new life.

We receive dogs and cats from shelters across Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. They also come to us from owner surrender situations; as part of animal cruelty seizure cases; and from breeder releases. We take in dogs and cats with unknown medical conditions and work to get them well enough for adoption.

Our story began 15 years ago when the founder, Yvette Garza, decided she would do something we all probably think about...she would “make a difference”.

Her love since childhood was animals - so animals it was. So, with $150, a foster dog and cat, she started her charity. And in 2020, 8000+ adoptees later - she is still just as passionate about giving these former unwanted little creatures a good life.

Yvette is proof that one person can change a life...or 8000.
